We’ll start off with early August.
I will be spending most of my time away from the house and garden now, sadly, as my wife and I have separated. But it is amicable, so the plants won’t be left to perish. How sad would that have been? At the moment I am renting a flat with no garden, just a strawberry planter by the window, rammed with orchids and spiny bromeliads, but in time I will have another garden to think about, most likely a lot nearer to the urban heat island of central Manchester. That will be fun.
Technology problems have also kept me away from posting on here but I do miss my fellow plant geeks. Hello all.
Hi! Even though I haven’t followed your blog long, I missed you as well. I was sure there was a story behind your silence. I love the use of blue-greys in your garden. I’m sure your garden must look very different than your neighbors’, but I can’t visualize what the contrast must be like. Sometime post a picture for those of us not local and with limited imaginations! All the best, RAS
Thanks Becca, yes I’ve been so pleased with how the blue raised bed has grown. I think that glaucous tones really make the greens look fresh. I’ve never done a post on the neighbourhood have I? I’ll have to do that, and try not to sound scathing while I’m doing it. For such a creative, imaginative pastime, gardening doesn’t half attract some conservative, unimaginative people.
Looking forward to a new garden sounds exciting! Good luck in the mean time.
Thanks Loree.
I’ve missed your posts. Sorry to hear about your separation from your wife and garden. Looking forward to a new garden would be nice and perhaps you’ll be able to take some of the plants from your former garden. Hope all goes well for you!
