Washout

This Summer has been hopeless so far. Slugs are everywhere, like a rash. The agaves develop fungal problems in Winter as it is, but after this drenching they’ll look awful come next Spring so i’ve put most of them back in the greenhouse in an effort to dry them out a bit.

On the positive side, the shady side of the garden is doing well, the gunnera is a good size again and the brugmansia have plenty of buds well on their way to flowering.

The first dahlia flower opened today. Tropaeolum speciosum has started flowering too. It isn’t living up to it’s common name of Flame Creeper. Here they are.

Here are some more bits and bobs flowering at the moment.
